Top Quality Antique English Silver Plated Grape Stand by Atkin Brothers C.1890

Description

A truly fabulous oval shaped grape stand or dish standing on four bun feet, the dish with repousse decoration and hand chasing.

This dish would create a magnificent show on the sideboard or on the dining table, with plump bunches of grapes hanging from the two hooks amongst the vine decorated stand. I have a similar one, which I fill the dish with fruits and nuts at a dinner party.

The underside has a full mark for the Sheffield silversmith, Atkin Brothers, dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890. Excellent condition, measuring 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 11 1/2" tall.
