Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Table Desk C1880

Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Desk and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality Mahogany it has a moulded edge to the original leather skiver above one long centre drawer with two smaller false drawer fronts at either side and with original turned knob handles. The top has turned finials to each corner.

The other side of the desk mirrors the front with a set of false drawers and are for show only allowing the desk to stand in the middle of a room.

The base stands on beautiful turned bulbous supports to each end and is supported on shaped and carved legs on castors joined by a turned centre stretcher.

Measures 30.5" high x knee height 25" x 24" deep x 42" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
