This is a George III hallmarked sterling silver gilt snuff box. It was assayed in London in 1813/14 and made by Daniel Hockley.
It has engine turned decoration to the exterior of the top and bottom, and a repeating border to the sides. Inside it is hallmarked to both sides.
There is wear and there are surface marks mainly to the top and bottom as you can see in the photographs and as you would expect from an item of it''s age. It is of a good gauge so is otherwise in good condition.
It weighs 68g and is 7cm wide.
All items come with free shipping throughout the UK. They will be sent using a recorded or signed for service such as Royal Mail's Special Delivery.
