Description

A very handsome late Victorian or Edwardian Salad bowl made from solid English Oak, beautifully polished with a bright patina.

Either side are two fabulous handles, the two supports made from silver plate, pierced or reticulated supporting the turned Oak handle.

The foot, rim and two shield (one back, one front) shaped mounts area also silver plated, unmarked.

The bowl comes complete with the original and undamaged ceramic creamware liner and the pair of servers with Oak handles and marked EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

All in excellent condition. Spanning 13" handle to handle, the ceramic liner having a diameter measuring 8 1/2"; standing 6 1/4" tall to top of handle.
