Antique Victorian Mahogany Wellington or Specimen Chest

Description

Small antique early Victorian / William IV mahogany 'Wellington Chest' or specimen chest. This is a wonderful looking & top quality piece of furniture. It's also quite unusual in design & was probably made for a specific purpose. I would date it to around the 1840 period & it's in totally good original condition. There are numerous small drawers of different sizes, all with original handles & they are held place with two hinged locking sides that corbels on the tops. I don't have any keys for the two locks, but I'm sure they could be cut if needed or I may even have some old ones that work the locks. This chest sits on a plinth base. This chest has a lovely original colour & has loads of character. I believe that only the top drawer has the dividers inside.

Depth - 12.6", 32 cm

Height - 37.8", 96 cm
