The large box is black lacquered and decorated with lavish gilding and enamelling .. really in fabulous condition.
Once the lid is opened, the fitted interior is revealed, the front falls to reveal two drawers below, the top one fitted and the one below empty retaining it's original lining.
The box contains Chequers / Backgammon / Draghts counters in Boxwood and Ebony, a chess set in Boxwood and Ebony, bone and Ebony dominoes, bone counters, two Mother of Pearl Cribbage Boards, leather dice shakers, shell counters, six packs of cards (two period decks and four later), bezique markers.
Complete with a working key, this work of art remains in superb condition. 13" x 10" x 7 1/2".
