Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Bonheur Du Jour Desk

Description

Antique Edwardian mahogany 'bonheur du jour' writing table desk, with exquisite inlays all over. This is a very elegant item of furniture & is in good condition, having just been polished. It also has a beautifully tooled leather writing surface. There is an original brass gallery all along the top & two small drawer sections with curved tops that have stunning floral marquetry on. There are a two main drawers to the front & all four drawers have original brass handles & they all have locks too. The legs are tapered & sit on original casters. This desk is fine quality throughout & dates to around the 1890-1900 period. Please take an enlarged look at all the images & pay attention to the particularly fine inlays all over.
