Good French Marble & Ormolu Clock Set

Description

An attractive mid-19th century French marble and ormolu CLOCK SET or "Garniture de Cheminee" comprising the central clock in full working order, striking hours and half-hours on a bell, and flanked by the pair of marble and ormolu three-branch candelabra.

All elements are in excellent original condition; the white marble is perfect whilst the good convex clock dial is original as are the pierced and gilded hands and the ornate pendulum. The movement is signed: Japy Freres, Paris, and is guaranteed for at least two years.

Dimensions: The clock: 17.5ins (44.5cms) high; the candelabra 11.5ins (29cms) high.
