Antique Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers - Small Proportions

1900 - 1920
Description

This fabulous small gutsy mahogany chest of drawers has all the qualities & looks of a period Georgian piece, but it's antique Edwardian from around the 1900-10 period. Even so, it's still a fine rare piece & just as good an investment as a period one. It has a generous serpentine front, canted corners with blind fretwork, original brass handles & locks on the graduated drawers that also have fine dovetails & solid oak drawer bottoms. This chest sits on bold shaped bracket feet & there is a brushing slide just under the top. It's wonderful quality all over, in good original condition & is very heavy for the size.

Height - 29.5", 75 cm
