Description

This antique walnut tallboy has a fabulous look & is great quality. The front section is mainly bur walnut with herringbone inlay on the drawers in between burr & figured walnut. The drawers have original brass handles & escutcheons, plus they all have locks. The bottom of the front & sides are beautifully shaped out & the solid walnut legs also have a good strong shape. The sides are figured walnut. The drawer linings are all solid timbers & they are finely dovetailed. This chest on stand separates into two sections for easy transportation. I would date it to around the 1890-1910 period. It has a wonderful colour & is full of character. The top of this chest is also polished walnut, but for some reason we forgot to photograph it. I can assure you it's also in good condition.
