English Fusee Mantel Clock by Barraud & Lunds

Description

A fine quality English library type fusee mantel/bracket clock. A walnut case with choice veneers. Thick bevelled glass side panels. A silvered engraved dial with floral corners and signed 'Barraud & Lunds, 49, Cornhill, London'. Engraved to the bacplate also to the 8-day single fusee mechanism.

The Barraud family of clockmakers are noted makers working from 1790. The partnership with Lunds ran from 1839-1863.
