An exquisitely made, large and very heavy clock set, decorated with the sharpest and finest detail.
Candelabra have conforming bases on which sit a beautifully modelled female figure 'Caryatid' which supports the 4 branch candelabrum.

The dial is heavy silvered brass, mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouches. The bezel is also silvered and fitted with the original heavy bevelled, convex glass. The rear door is also silvered and glazed. This is a clock set of the finest quality, beautifully designed and in stunning condition.

The French movement is of the highest quality and is a large plate version of the Pendule de Paris design, fitted with pin pallet escapement and rack striking. The back plate is marked for the Paris maker 'Barrard & Vignon, Rue Commines 7 and also the Brussels retailer. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum has been replaced. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted. There is some light scratching on the original glass. Dial is in excellent condition, just a very light scratch in the number 11 cartouche.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
