A Stunning Quality Pair of Rosewood Victorian Period Armchairs

Description

A stunning quality pair of solid rosewood Victorian Period ladies and gents armchairs. Each chair with a solid rosewood chamfered frame with a cushioned back and sides and sprung seats. The arms are supported on beautiful turned rosewood columns and having writhen turned front supports, swept back legs with brass and porcelain castors.These chairs are made entirely from the finest quality rosewood and were made during the aesthetic period when simplicity of design was fashionable but only the finest craftsmanship would suffice. These chairs are very reminiscent of furniture produced at this time by Collinson & Lock of London and could be firmly attributed to them. One of the finest cabinet makers of the 19th Century. English circa 1870-1880

Dimensions: Gents 30.5" high x 25" wide x 21" deep Ladies 29" high x 24" wide x 19" deep (seat heights 17")

Condition: This pair of chairs are in stunning condition. Cleaned and waxed. Re-upholstered in a cream silk damask and re-webbed
