Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The front with a serpentine glazed door opening to reveal a central shaped plate glass shelf and a silk lined under tier, with the original working key. With bowed glazed ends and opposing serpentine panel, also with finely cast ormolu mounts. The whole supported on four elegant cabriole supports, with further finely cast floral ormolu mounts. The quality of this piece is superb and would probably have been made by one of the finest Parisian cabinet makers of the time, possibly Sormani French circa 1880

Condition: This bijouterie is in stunning condition, fully restored, re-polished and re-lined. The gilt bronze mounts have all been re-gilded
