Ladys 1930s Rolex Oyster Ultra Prima Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A lady's 1930s Rolex Oyster Ultra Prima wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 'timed 6 positions', which is signed twice (Rolex and Rolex Ultra Prima). It is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 23.5mm diameter excluding the screw-down crown and the lugs. The bi-metal case has a very good look with an Art Deco influence with the stepped lugs. The screw-on case back has the milled edge and the inside is signed Oyster Watch Co, Geneva, Swiss (Rolex bought the Oyster Watch Company in the 1920s). The back of the watch has the initials RZF, together with the initials RF which a previous owner has scratched into the case back. There is also a reference number of 34489. There is minor marking to the case but overall the condition is good for a 1930s watch. The screw-down winding stem has the Oyster Patent name.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Rolex Oyster. There is some ageing to the dial but it is acceptable for a 1930s watch. Some of the infill is missing from the minute hand.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
