Description

A fine and large Chinese porcelain famille rose ewer dating from the 18th century.
height 25cm
diameter of body 14cm
Finely painted floral motifs with gilt scroll and flower borders.
The lid has a metal hinged mount, most likely a Dutch metal workers clasp added in Europe when imported.
Good condition for age, no cracks or chips.
Some minor scuffs to the enamelwork and gilt to the upper rim.
The upper beak to the spout has minor restoration and some wear from use,(see photo).
