A Burmese 19th Century Carved Side Table

Description

A Burmese 19th Century carved antique side table. Having a square top made from padouk and with a richly carved border depicting various animals including elephants, monkeys, peacocks and with carved Hindu figures to the corners. Having a shaped pierced fretwork frieze with carved finials. The whole supported on four carved cabriole supports with dragon carved feet, united by an X framed carved under tier with a carved bird finial. Burma circa 1860-1880

Dimensions: 24" wide x 24" deep x 28.5" high

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Two finials from the rear corners missing.
