Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
With barley twist side supports, topped with finials they stand on turned legs supported by turned cross stretchers. The solid seats also have carved details to them along with a few small splits. Some slight give to the chair frames. One chair is slightly taller than the other and they have different carving to the seats.

Some light give to the chairs (but not too wobbly). Both seats have splits across them and mends. Wear and marks commensurate with age to the frames.
