Description

A Staffordshire Victorian mahogany longcase clock. A high quality case with choice flame mahogany veneers. Corinthium brass capped barley twist hood and trunk columns. Inlaid crossbanding to the case. An arched pediment with 3 original wooden finials. An arched painted dial with country scenes and gilt background. A date dial and seconds. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

Clement Pass of Oldbury is listed in McKenna's 'Clockmakers and Watchmakers of Cental England' as working in Birmingham St. from 1854-1874.' book as working from 1771-1784.
