Description

A near pair of yew wood mid 19th century low backed windsor arm chairs. Each chair having the traditional hooped back with a pierced vase shaped splat, yew wood spindles and curved arms. The generous saddle shaped seat in elm, supported on four on turned legs united by a yew wood crinoline stretcher. The front legs of each chair in yew wood, the rear legs are another fruitwood as was the original common practice with these chairs. English circa 1850-1860

Dimensions: 36" high x 16" deep x 22" wide (seat height 17")

Condition: This pair of chairs are in superb original condition, wonderful colour and patination
