Rare Antique English Novelty Cruet Set - Miniature Tea Set on Tray C.1890

Description

A magnificent novelty cruet set, about as charming as they come in the form of a tea set and tray.

Each piece is beautifully engraved; the tallest of the pots is the pepperette, the shorter pot, the mustard pot; the sugar the open salt and finally the water or milk jug for oil.

The mark on the underside is J.B & Co. with a crown, a silversmith I am not familiar with.

The tray is beautifully made standing on four ball and claw feet and the handles beautifully shaped.

Quite stunning and in excellent condition. The tray spans 10 1/4" handle to handle x 5".
