Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1800s.

They are supported on well-turned slender uprights, united by turned stretchers (for stability) leading to carved corbels and slender bases each with applied plain domed paterae. They fit together particularly well, and the largest measures 29ins (73.5 cms) high.

This beading serves two purposes: firstly to prevent items from falling off, and secondly to prevent the tops of the lower tables being marked, when being drawn out, by the underneath of the larger table above.
