Very Large Gilt Mirror

19th century
Description

A Restauration period French gilt mirror of very large proportions, with original mercury glass split mirror, and original gilt finish, with typical raised stucco decoration, the gilt frame is rubbed in areas which actually gives it a very pleasant warm colour. Mirror is symmetrical so could be used in portrait or landscape position. Wonderful colour and very good condition. Measuring 80" by 44". Early 19th Century.
