Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1880s.

The watercolour is of an Abbey and monk and is labelled Rotherwood Abbey to the lower right. Rotherwood Abbey may be a fictional Abbey based upon an existing abbey, possibly a reference to Roche Abbey in Rotherham although is does also bear some resemblance to Bath Abbey. There is one W H Moore listed in reference books whose address was Paris and who exhibited two works in Manchester in 1886, which would tie in with the date of this painting dating from circa 1880s. In unusually good condition, a beautiful example of a piece which are now becoming quite scarce.
