Gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe wrist watch in beautiful condition.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around one minute over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. Although originally designed to be worn by a man, it would suit a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is in lovely condition with just the odd minor mark.

The dial, signed Smiths De Luxe, 15 Jewels, Made in Gt Britain, and the lens are both in lovely condition. There is a little marking to the hands, and some of the infill has come out of the minute hand.

A later brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
