Gents Omega Seamaster Automatic Watch, 1959

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents Omega Seamaster wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 501 automatic movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega Watch Co, Swiss and it has the serial number 16,479,853 which dates it back to 1959.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and the condition of the front and sides is good. There is a long scratch to the case back. The inside of the case back has the Omega triangular stamp together. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the applied Omega logo and is also signed Omega, Automatic, Seamaster, Swiss Made. There is some age related marking to the dial but overall it has a good vintage look.

A new brown leather has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
