Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The back is deep buttoned in a dark pink draylon fabric. The upholstery is fairly tired and dirty to the edges and would benefit reupholstery.

Would benefit reupholstery - it is in useable condition, but slightly dirty to the edges and back. There is a small old split to the frame which has been glued and filled with wax. Old mend to the back leg.
