A Stunning Quality Walnut & Ormolu Mounted Victorian Period Credenza

Description

A stunning walnut & ormolu mounted Victorian Period antique credenza with serves plaques. The top of breakfront outline veneered in beautifully figured walnut. The frieze is veneered in burr walnut with purple heart banding and arabesque boxwood marquetry inlay. Having a panelled door with a central ormolu mounted serves plaque depicting a young gentleman serenading a maiden and is also veneered in burr walnut and banded in purple heart. Opening to reveal a silk lined shelved interior, flanked by flat pilasters with cast ormolu mounts and further sevres plaques. The bowed front glazed end doors also flanked by similar flat pilasters and sevres plaques. The whole supported on a walnut veneered breakfront plinth and turned walnut feet. English circa 1860-1870

Condition: This credenza is in stunning condition, re-polished in our workshops
