Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
Having a panelled door with a central ormolu mounted serves plaque depicting a young gentleman serenading a maiden and is also veneered in burr walnut and banded in purple heart. Opening to reveal a silk lined shelved interior, flanked by flat pilasters with cast ormolu mounts and further sevres plaques. The bowed front glazed end doors also flanked by similar flat pilasters and sevres plaques. The whole supported on a walnut veneered breakfront plinth and turned walnut feet. English circa 1860-1870
