Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Constructed of well-figured West Indian satinwood, it is beautifully decorated throughout with hand-painted garlands of flowers and leaves, and with large musical motifs to the lower sections of both sides, whilst the twin doors, each with 12 glazed panels, feature delightful ovals of playful putti flanked by urns and swags.
These doors open to reveal the four adjustable shelves inside with 'hidden' storage below.
