1926 Thomas Russell Premier Silver Trench Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A 1926 silver Thomas Russell Premier trench style gent's wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around three to four minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Premier, 7 Jewels, Swiss Made, 96.152.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The silver case has London import marks for 1926 with the importers mark W.H.S (William Henry Sparrow). The case is in good condition with just light surface marks and mild denting to the back. The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The white enamel dial is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Premier with Swiss Made at the bottom. The dial has a small nibble / crack to the outer edge between 4 & 5 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition. The watch has its original blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
