Unusual Antique Burr Ash Photograph Frame C.1880

Description

We don't find many interesting wooden photograph frames, this is made from exotic burr Ash, possible from Russia or Northern Europe, it has an interesting grain and a rich patina.

The back retains it's original folding easel stand and the back slides off to change the picture. The picture you see is an English period photograph which came with the frame, and is included in the sale of this piece. The glass to the front is the original bevelled glass to protect the contents.

Excellent condition with an overall measurement of 9" x 7 1/2" and an aperture measuring 5 3/4" x 4".
