Description

Dating from around 1840 this PAIR OF ANTIQUE TINSEL PICTURES depict ST. GEORGE & THE DRAGON and ST. ANDREW & THE WINGED SERPENT.

The EBONISED and GILDED FRAMES are contemporary. They measure approximately 7.25 inches (18.5 cm) by 6.75 inches (17 cm).

The pictures are hand-coloured with the addition of pressed metal decoration which reflects the light well. In addition, silk has been used to form the Saints' flowing cloaks.

The condition is good.
