Description

Stunning pair of original antique Swedish leather armchairs, with carved mahogany claw & ball legs. The leather is in excellent original condition & is naturally distressed with just the right amount of crazing on the surface. There are no rips, tears or holes. These large heavy weight armchairs are extremely comfortable & they are sprung not only on the seat, but also all over the backs. The legs sit on a mahogany framework & the leather is hand tacked on to the frames. They are particularly wide & generously proportioned, which is hard to appreciate from the images. I would date them to around the 1910 period, but they may be older than that.
