Description

A stunning Edwardian sterling silver tea caddy, made from a good gauge of silver with a good weight.

The shape is a delight and beautifully decorated with embossed or repousse work. Either side has a charming ring handle and the top of the lid with an attractive finial.

The lid fits well and when opened reveals the original gilded interior. There is a full hallmark for London 1902 together with the makers mark for the top-notch silversmith, William Hutton & Sons Ltd.

The caddy is lucky enough to have the original engraved Armorial Crest of a Boar's head.

Excellent condition, the caddy spanning 4 3/4" handle to handle; x 3 1/4" x 3 3/4" tall to top of finial.
