Magnificent Antique English Set Four Graduated Food or Meat Covers C.1880

Description

A grand, grand set, very rarely do we come across a set of four matching meat or food domes; I just love these, I have a set in my dining room, they make the most impressive display on a sideboard or down the center of a large dining table.

Made from silver plate, they are a Victorian set dating to around 1880. Each is topped with a naturalistic handle with bunches of grapes, grapevines wrapped around a wooden branch.

The bottom of each is beautifully hand-engraved all the way around.

The set comprises of a huge dome measuring 20" x 15 12" x 12" tall; the next size measuring 18" x 13 3/4" x 11" tall; the two smaller ones measure 13 3/4" x 10 3/4" x 8 1/2" tall.

A wonderful set in fabulous condition (a few minuscule dings, mentioned purely for accuracy).
