Description

A carved oak Victorian Period antique fire surround. Having an inverted breakfront mantle with traditional carved detail above the beautifully carved vine, grape and oak leaf frieze, with a central carved armoreal depicting thistles. The jambs with classically carved corbels above further oak leaf, acorn and floral detail. Probably Scottish circa 1861

Dimensions: 82.5" wide x 9" deep (mantle) x 63" high The inset measures 47" wide x 48.5" high

Condition: This fire surround is in stunning condition, cleaned and waxed
