Antique Edwardian Mahogany Card Table

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning antique Edwardian card table in mahogany with flame figured top and satinwood inlay. It stands on tapered legs decorated with stringing and culminating in casters. The mahogany to the top is a beautifully flame figured veneer with satinwood cross-banding. It has two drawers, each has its original pull handle, the drawer fronts are also crossbanded in satinwood. The table top folds out to reveal a baize topped surface for playing cards. A highly portable, attractive and functional piece of antique furniture in good condition. Dating from circa 1910.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany and satinwood.

Condition Report:

Good condition. The green baize surface has a few small holes/marks. One of the decorative corner pieces/spandrells to the back is a replacement. Very solid and sturdy. Other marks/wear commensurate with age.
