These chairs have been refinished at some point in a dark wood stain which gives the chairs a brown appearance, which has worn off in places to reveal a lighter walnut underneath. The frames are solid . Newly recovered with new fabric over the existing upholstery which is firm and sound. Some old worm holes which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution and filled with wax.
