Description

A lady's WW2 silver trench watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 27.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark), 1914 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell. The case has minor marking but overall is in lovely condition for such an early piece.

The watch lens has light scratches but is very acceptable.

The enamel dial has a lovely vintage look with black numbers and a red 12, and an outer minute marker picked out in gold. There are some faint hairline cracks but they are not immediately obvious to the naked eye.

The watch has a later 'thread through' style brown leather strap.
