Antique English Silver Plated Candlesticks C.1890

Description

A stunning and highly decorative pair of small candlesticks, with a base measuring 3" square; and standing 5 3/4" tall, the perfect size for a desk or mantelpiece.

The base at one time were covered with a fabric, my silversmith did not put a new base on as it was hiding the makers marks, you could of course put some felt on the base if required. The makers mark of the Fleur de Lys is I think for the maker William Deykin; the letters EPNS are also present for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

The sticks are as pretty as a picture, the stem having a Ram's head and ribbon & bow and Acanthus leaf swags, these decorations being used on the bases as well.

Excellent condition dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.
