Description

An antique Elgin pocket watch.

The watch has a grade 303 stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good. The movement is signed Elgin Natl Watch Co, USA and it has the serial number 19,774,179 which dates it back to 1916.

The watch measures 45mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is 14kt white gold filled and it is beautifully detailed all the way around. There is a monogrammed cartouche to the back cover. The case back has a couple of indentations but overall the condition of the case is good for its age.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has three very faint hairline cracks. Blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers with red Arabic numbers.
