Gents Large 1920s Art Deco Wrist Watch

Description

A gents large Art Deco wrist watch.

The watch, which dates back to the 1920s, has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement. It is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 40mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is rolled gold; the front and sides of the case are in good condition but there is marking across the back.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish and it has a fabulous Art Deco look. There is a little rubbing to the numbers, and some general light marking, but overall the condition is good for a piece of this age. Blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
