ANONYMOUS: a pretty early/mid 19th century OIL ON BOARD, which depicts the visit of a grandfather to his daughter and three grandchildren, in their practical and humble kitchen.

A glimpse of the countryside can be seen beyond the partially open kitchen door, and the children are all clearly delighted to see the old man! There does not appear to be a signature, but it is inscribed with the title, bottom right. 10.5ins by 8.75ins (27 x 22.5cms)
