A Fine Large Regency Convex Mirror

19th century
Description

An impressive and fine quality Regency period English CONVEX MIRROR in good original condition.

Surmounted by a gilded eagle, perched on a stand with carved and gilded oak leaves and scrolls below, the convex frame incorporates close-ball decoration and a reeded ebonised inner slip frame around the original convex mirror plate.

To either side are gilt candle holders with cut-glass droplets, whilst further gilded and carved oak leaves are to be found around the apron base. 42ins high; 22.5ins wide. (106.5 x 57cms)
