Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1800s.
When the drawer is removed, the base panel slides out to reveal a ' secret compartment'. To each side there are three pigeon holes with a long drawer above two short drawers all of which are oak lined with small ivory knob handles. To the base there are three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with ivory key escutcheons and later brass handles. It stands on turned bun feet. the top separates for ease of transporting.

Measures: 86" high x height to base 42" x (knee height 28") x 21" deep x 40" wide ( internal shelf depth 9.5")
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
