Description

A fabulous and very hefty piece of crystal was used to create this top-notch box, beautifully cut and without damage.

The hinged lid has the most exquisite engraving. The box sits in a silver plated caddy with a shield shaped cartouche to the front with the original owner's initials.

The base stands on four bun feet which span 7 3/4" x 5 3/4"; the handles spanning 8 3/4". The underside of the stand is marked H & H for the top quality and highly collectible Hukin & Heath.

Dating to around 1880, the piece remains in superb condition standing 5 1/2" tall.
