This is the classically designed Whiskey Noggin by Christopher Dresser, during his time with Hukin & Heath in Birmingham.
The silver top is hallmarked to the side with the Assay Office stamp of Birmingham 1907 and the maker''s mark for John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton, who later became Hukin & Heath. Christopher Dresser designed for the firm during the 1870''s and 1880''s and his designs were used for many subsequent years.
There is a partial hallmark inside the lid, the hinge of which is in good order. There are initials on the lid, possibly ''ROG''.
This whiskey noggin has the classic star shaped base. The glass is in excellent, used condition, with no chips or cracks.
The whiskey label is by Charles and George Asprey and is hallmarked on the reverse for London 1907.
The noggin is 10cm in height and was supposedly just big enough for a whiskey measure at bed time!
