Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
They have been newly reupholstered in a golden heavy brocade fabric. These are more suited as decorative side or hall chairs rather than chairs to be used.

The chairs have a number of splits and old mends to the veneers and are quite delicate. They are certainly more of a decorative piece than items that can be used. The frames are solid and have been newly reupholstered.
