Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It is of small proportions, ideal for an area where only a shallow desk will fit. The top has been refinished at some point - and there are several holes filled with wax where a mirror would have been as it was originally a dressing table. The top is in useable condition but it would benefit the addition of a leather insert top which would hide the refinished top and holes. This is reflected in the asking price.
