Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table Desk

Description

This early Victorian mahogany kneehole desk is in good original condition & has lots of character. It has a tooled faded green leather writing surface & a thumb nailed moulded top edge. There are five drawers with turned mahogany handles, moulded edges & fine dovetails. The legs are well turned & it has a polished back too, so looks good from all angles. The wood has various markings under the polish, because we have not stripped & tried to retain it's character look. This desk dates from around the 1840-80 period.

Depth - 23.6", 60 cm

Height - 30.7", 78 cm

Knee height - 24.8", 63 cm
